We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie on behalf of a new-build, upper tier hotel located near to The Sage, Newcastle.

30 hour contract, potential of overtime available. £11.50-£12.50 per hour.

You will play a vital role in hotel’s culinary team, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency, uphold hygiene standards, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for hotel guests.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within the brand standards.
  • Managing and training commis working with you.
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus.
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

Catering Staff

Sous Chef

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment are recruiting for a Sous Chef for a 4* Country House Hotel in Stanley, County Durham.

40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.

About the role:

To assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen to ensure that all menu items are served promptly and as specified in accordance with the HACCP, H&S regulations and the companies Standard Operating Procedures. You are to ensure that all customers who visit or contact the hotel have their expectations met and exceeded and that the standards of the hotel are consistently maintained. To motivate and lead all Kitchen staff to achieve this and promote a positive image of the hotel at all times.

About the venue:

4* property in Stanley, County Durham. Events and wedding facilities have also been extended considerably over the years to cater to an increasing demand for hosting weddings, eventsand special occasions. The onsite restaurant was established in 2009 following complete overhaul of what used to be the Manor’s stable block. Many of the building’s features were retained and The Stables welcomes our guests with original stone floors, exposed beams and roaring winter log fires.

About the role / Generic Duties:

Responsible for the smooth, administrative functioning of the Sixth Form and contribution to a full, successful and supported learning experience for students. Providing administrative and PA support to the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form, with demonstrable competence in SIMs and related data entry / report retrieval. Managing and administrating Sixth Form admission and application processes throughout the year including adding students to SIMS, creating a central record system in Excel, updating as necessary, monitoring course choices and numbers of students. Providing very occasional cover, during emergencies, for absent staff in Main Office during holiday periods where required. Financial responsibility including being accountable for small expenditures from an agreed budget or equivalent income.

Personal Specifications:

– Minimum 5 GCSE A*-C including English & Maths

– Level 3/4 ICT Qualification

About the role: 
We are currently seeking a talented and driven Chef de Partie (CDP) or an experienced Sous Chef with classic French training to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, serving a 6-course tasting menu alongside a 2 or 3-course set menu for 25 to 40 covers per night.
