We are looking for chefs CDP level and above with experience in quality, fresh food kitchens to jump on board. Our clients include some of the top pubs, hotels, restaurants, and event venues across the North East.

Relief ChefsDuties may include:

  • Producing quality fresh food under the direction of the head chef
  • Food prep
  • Setting up and closing down on site
  • Following all food safety guidelines
  • Directing junior members of the kitchen team
  • Stock control

You must:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience at CDP level or above in a fresh food kitchen
  • Possess chef whites and knives
  • Have the means to get to and from your place of work
  • Be a team player with a good working attitude and strong work ethic
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Be a good communicator
  • Have a recent Food Hygiene Certificate dated within the last 3 years or be willing to complete one

This is a rare vacancy in a beautiful location with sociable hours and the freedom to express your creative flair as a chef. Typical working hours will be     8am-5pm though you may be asked to assist in food production for weddings and events held at the venue.

The client is looking for someone who is willing to learn and adapt to different situations, whilst being able to cope during service which can be extremely busy. They would like at least 1 year’s experience in a similar role but are willing to consider current Chef de Partie’s who feel they are ready and able to make the step up.

 

Sous ChefDuties and responsibilities include:
  • Delivering high quality, fresh, tasty food to order on a daily basis
  • Producing cakes, scones, and desserts to delight customers
  • Working alongside the existing kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of the cafe
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, keeping records as appropriate

The successful Sous Chef will be:

Operations Manager

Adkins & Cheurfi are recruiting, on behalf of one of our Sunderland based clients, for an experienced Hotel Operations Manager. 

The 140+ bedroom hotel independently owned hotel operates under the name of a leading hotel brand.

Boasting varied meeting and events spaces there is a large focus on the conference and banqueting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong F&B and events background, as a main focus of the role will be to drive revenue and sales in these areas of the hotel.

We are looking for an individual with proven hotel operations experience as well as knowledge of room bookings and maintenance. As the role requires you to work closely with the team, we require someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a hands-on approach.

The role will be 48 hours per week working 5 days out of 7.

Senior Chef required for permanent vacancy in Riding Mill, Northumberland

Our client is seeking a senior chef to work alongside a high performing head chef at a luxury residential home, fifteen miles from Newcastle in Riding Mill near Hexham. You would be working 40 hours per week, daytime hours, five days out of seven. The property offers fresh, appetizing food for their residents with an emphasis on superb presentation and seasonal produce.

Senior Chef – responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the head chef to deliver outstanding meals from a rotation menu, making the best use of all ingredients available. Personal preference, dietary requirements and soft food requirements must be taken in to account.
  • Running the kitchen to high standards in the absence of the head chef.
  • Guiding and developing the junior members of the kitchen team.
  • Taking deliveries and managing stock
  • Making scones, pastries and biscuits from scratch daily

Skills you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Three years minimum at CDP level or above in hotels or high quality restaurant kitchens
  • You will be adaptable, flexible and able to work with a sense of urgency
  • You will have Food Safety Level 3, COSHH and HACCP training
