We are now recruiting on behalf of a multi-academy trust located in Morpeth for a chef manager at a small primary education site. Typical shifts will be Monday to Friday 7.30am-2.30pm. This position will suit a chef seeking to work on a smaller scale, with total autonomy in the kitchen. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparing lunch for approx 60-80 primary pupils Monday to Friday
  • Overseeing breakfast club which offers children toast and cereal
  • Ordering and stock management
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintaining all health and safety records and training new staff on SOPs, COSSH and HACCAP
  • Communicating with the faculty to ensure the needs of all pupils are met
  • Serving food to the children and staff
  • Staying breast of government guidelines on primary nutrition and updating menus and planning accordingly

You will be:

  • In possession of or willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
  • Experienced in a similar environment for minimum one year
