Adkins and Cheurfi are looking to grow our team of Temporary Chefs to work in ongoing contracts across the North East of England. Part time and Full time hours available with options to progress to permanent contract from temporary.

As a Temporary Chef, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in restaurants and Hotels with a variety of different menus
  • Working on conferencing and banqueting at some locations
  • Supporting weddings, events, and functions throughout the year
  • Working within cafés and restaurants within office buildings and factories
  • Friendly and positive attitude,  with the ability to work as part of a
    team or independently when needed
  • Assist other areas of the kitchen wherever necessary and maintain good
    working relationship with your peers
  • A strong understanding of health and safety, and food safety regulations

Skills and experience you’ll bring to the Agency Chef role:

  • Due diligence with records, and health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to follow recipe specifications and guidance from different venues
  • Ability to work well in a committed team environment
  • Flexibility
  • At least 2 years kitchen experience
  • NVQ or Equivalent in Professional Cookery / Hospitality & Catering

Contract Catering Chef

Contract Catering Chef – Teeside area

Due to an increase in demand we are now expanding our team of experienced Contract Catering Chefs to complete temporary assignments with our clients during daytime hours around Middlesbrough, Stockton and Durham. We supply fire stations, staff canteens, care homes and tourist destinations with seasonal, ad hoc and ongoing staff. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Produce high quality, fresh food to tight deadlines
  • Follow on site specifications to ensure continuity of service
  • Delegate to kitchen assistants when necessary
  • Help with ordering and organisation of stock
  • Using customer feedback to continuously improve offering
  • Communicating clearly with existing team to uphold high standards of taste, hygiene and presentation in the kitchen
  • Fill out all Health and Safety records
  • Adhere to all COVID regulations

You will:

  • Have minimum Level 2 NVQ in Professional Cookery or 3 years minimum experience in a professional kitchen

Bar / Restaurant Supervisor

We are recruiting x2 bar/restaurant supervisors on behalf of an award-winning, boutique hotel group situated in Newcastle and Northumberland.

There is a highly rated on-site bar/restaurant in both venues which offers a wide variety of food and drink to suit all tastes. As assistant bar /restaurant supervisor you would work closely with the general manager of the F&B facilities to maintain the high standards of customer service already in place.

There is live-in accommodation for the Northumberland site with access to a company vehicle. There is onsite parking at both sites.

What will I be doing?

  • Responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the bar/restaurant – under the direction of the general manager.

The right candidate will:

  • Have experience in a bar/restaurant supervisor position. One year minimum.
  • Have a good knowledge of food and beverage as a whole.
  • Be willing to learn and train others on brand standards and procedures.
  • Be a proactive, forward-thinking individual with a ‘hands-on’ approach.
  • Live near to the site or be willing to live in.

Seasonal Chef

Seasonal chef required for ongoing seasonal work around Alnwick, Northumberland

Our client, a well known tourist destination in Alnwick require a freelance chef to assist in their well run restaurant kitchen producing fresh food during lunch and dinner service. We are seeking experienced chefs to start mid-May to work throughout the summer months.

  • Preparing food and managing stock in preparation for service
  • Running a busy section reporting to head and sous chef
