Weekend Kitchen Assistant – regular shifts
We are currently seeking an experienced kitchen assistant to work regular weekend shifts at a private hospital in rural Durham. Typical shifts are 10-7.30pm every Saturday and Sunday. Please note the right candidate must have a DBS certificate to be allowed on site. This is a long term, ongoing position.
Duties and responsibilities of weekend kitchen assistant:
- washing all pots and dishes using a mechanised pot wash
- managing all kitchen waste
- keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
- organising storage areas and putting deliveries away
- basic food prep
- other general duties within reason
You must:
- have a DBS certificate
- be able to travel to a rural location independently – please note there are no public transport links to this site
- have previous kitchen experience
- be physically fit
- be available to work Saturdays and Sundays
- have a working knowledge of COSHH
- be willing to undergo further training as required
