£20000 -£23000 permanent

We are recruiting a Sous Chef for a traditional Village Inn, located on the outskirts of the Lake District.

Working 5 days 40-48 hours per week.

Free onsite accommodation is provided

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with the head chef assisting the smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Assisting with the training and development of the junior kitchen staff
  • Cooking food to a high standard
  • Ensuring temperature checks are done and recorded whilst on shift
  • Following kitchen health & Safety procedures and completing logbooks necessary


  • Must have a minimum of 1-year sous chef experience
  • Be able to follow recipes and cook from scratch using fresh ingredients
  • Must be friendly and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Have the ability to work under pressure during busy periods

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef local to the area or a sous chef looking to relocate to the lake district for work.
