Sous Chef

Adkins & Cheurfi are looking for an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to work day shifts at an exciting venue on the North East Coast.

Excellent Beachfront location. Easy commute by public transport or by car from all areas of the North East.

The role would primarily be based at King Edwards Bay, Tynemouth and would be part of a small, fast paced team serving up simply grilled prime local seafood accompanied with a selection of simple cocktails, local beers and natural wines.

As Sous Chef, you will be expected to confidently manage your team and support the Head Chef, as well as run the Kitchen in his absence.

Offering an excellent salary of £31,000, with excellent opportunities to grow and develop your career within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience of working as a Senior Chef De Partie/Junior sous in your previous role.

Candidate requirements –

  • Responsible for guiding and delegating to  junior staff
  • Capable of working to a very high standard
  • Adhering to kitchen health and food procedures at all times
  • Team player with an excellent can do positive attitude
  • Health, Hygiene, Safety and good working practice leader
  • Ability to cook, prep, and follow fresh food recipes using quality local ingredients
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic individual
  • Prepared to work early mornings and weekends
