School Caretaker

We currently have a requirement for an experienced caretaker for an Academy in the Chester-Le-Street area. Monday-Friday hours available for an experienced individual with enhanced DBS checks in place.

Duties:

• responsible for all on-site security; opening and locking up the school
• overseeing all cleaning
• attending to all minor maintenance issues, referring to all larger issues
• engaging with parents and staff to ensure the school day runs smoothly
• observing all emergency lighting and fire checks
• ensuring schoolyard is kept free of debris and safe for use

You will be:

• an experienced caretaker or facilities manager seeking an immediate start
• able to return a clean and clear Enhanced DBS check
• able to travel to and from your place of work punctually
• a good communicator with great people skills
• capable of maintenance work with a work history demonstrating this
