Junior Sous Chef

We are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support our client’s award-winning kitchen team located at the iconic “Home of Golf” in St Andrews, Scotland. The ideal candidate will bring a background in 2 or 3 AA Rosette kitchens and have a genuine passion for fine dining. Pastry experience is highly desirable for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations

  • Lead and support junior team members during service

  • Ensure consistently high standards in food preparation and presentation

  • Contribute to menu development using seasonal, local ingredients

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety in all kitchen areas

  • Take charge in the absence of more senior chefs

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a 2 AA Rosette or 3 AA Rosette environment (required)

  • Strong all-round cooking skills; pastry experience is a plus

  • Ability to lead a section and supervise junior staff

  • Positive, professional attitude and strong team ethic

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
