Adkins & Cheurfi are looking for a Head Chef – Restaurant – to manage a fine dining, privately owned establishment in the city centre of Newcastle.
Managing a team of four chefs, the Head chef – Restaurant – will have great kitchen management experience, as well as an excellent knowledge of fine dining cuisine.
Our client is an Anglo/French restaurant offering a Tapas based menu that puts excellence at the forefront of its brand and offering, with an excellent package available and a salary of up to £30,000 this is a fantastic role for a real hands-on chef who loves to cook at a high standard.
Role / Responsibilities
- Head Chef reporting directly to the owners
- Attending management meetings
- Creating seasonal menus along with weekly specials and event menus
- Hands on in the kitchen, cooking with fresh ingredients.
- Pricing menus understanding GP and profit margins
- Liaising with local suppliers to source and spot the best produce available
- Training and development of the kitchen team
- Staff Appraisals
- Food safety along with Health and Hygiene reporting

Requirements
- A stable CV with 5 years reference history
- Experience of using modern French British cooking styles
- Previous role as Head Chef in a similar environment
