Head chef wanted for a newly refurbished large village pub under new ownership
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced head chef to head up the kitchen from opening day
Located in a small village just 5 miles from Morpeth and 15 miles from Newcastle city centre.
Currently undergoing a full refurb we are looking for an experienced head chef to come in asap to assist with the setup and the opening of the kitchen.
Duties will include:
- Head Chef reporting directly to the GM
- Menu design – Creating seasonal menus along with weekly specials and event menus
- Pricing menus understanding GP and profit margins
- Liaising with suppliers
- Assisting in the Recruitment of kitchen team
- Training and development of the kitchen team
- Staff Appraisals
- Implementing new ideas to drive business and kitchen profitability
- Kitchen and staff management
- Hands on in the kitchen, cooking with fresh ingredients.
- Liaising with suppliers to source and spot the best produce available
- Implement Food safety procedures along with Health and Hygiene reporting
