Breakfast Chef needed
Breakfast chef – part time hours (7am-3pm)
Temp-perm position
We are currently seeking a capable and reliable breakfast chef to work part time hours at an outdoor, educational facility for children in Northumberland. Situated in the pretty suburbs of Hexham, this facility caters for school groups on a residential basis, with 16 rooms. It offers outdoor activities and the chance to get up close and personal with nature for children from all walks of life. The 18 acre adventure park is located within private woodlands with a multi-purpose indoor activity barn also on site. The emphasis here is on health, adventure and learning and the menu reflects this. The on site canteen provides three hot meals per day and caters for vegetarians and those with more specific dietary requirements.
Your role as breakfast chef involves:
- preparing a buffet style hot and cold breakfast for all children and staff on site
- maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding area
- preparing a buffet style hot and cold lunch with salad bar and vegetarian option
- adhering to all government guidelines
- keeping all health and safety records up to date
- delegating tasks to a kitchen assistant as apropriate
You will:
- be in possession of an up to date DBS certificate or be willing to complete one
- be experienced in a similar environment for at least one year
- be a respectful, compassionate and tolerant individual
- be a real team player
- be reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- be capable of managing your own workload
