Temporary Caretakers required for school contracts across Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland

Due to a recent growth in demand we are now recruiting for additional relief caretakers to join our busy team of auxiliary agency staff providing support within the education sector. This role would suit an experienced caretaker seeking less hours or more flexibility or a job seeker who wishes to try temporary work before taking their next permanent role. Length of contract varies from school to school.

Duties:

• responsible for all on site security; opening and locking up the school
• overseeing all cleaning
• attending to all minor maintenance issues, referring all larger issues
• engaging with parents and staff to ensure the school day runs smoothly
• observing all emergency lighting and fire checks
• ensuring school yard is kept free of debri and safe for use

You will be:

• an experienced care taker or facilities manager seeking an immediate start
• able to return a clean and clear Enhanced DBS check
• able to travel to and from your place of work punctually
• a good communicator with great people skills
• capable of maintenance work with a work history demonstrating this
