School Chef Vacancies – North East England

Due to a boom in demand we are now adding to our experienced brigade of education and care chefs to work ad hoc and ongoing bookings at schools, nurseries, care homes and colleges across the North East of England. Our chefs have an excellent reputation and step in to make a great contribution in every kitchen they support. Duties of a school chef:

Lead a catering team to deliver a wide range of nutritious, high quality food to pupils and faculty
Manage stock effectively, minimising waste
Delegate and oversee the kitchen
Ensure all health and safety measures are met and recorded
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained

The right candidate will be:

In possession of a DBS or willing to immediately undergo and Enhanced DBS check
Experienced working in kitchens for at least 5 years
A reliable individual with a high level of professional integrity
A great communicator with strong leadership skills
Able to travel to and from work independently
Contactable and responsive
Fully qualified
Able to produce two employment references
