Adkins & Cheurfi are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Sous Chef to start as soon as possible at a great venue situated right in the heart of Hexham.
In this particular role experience isn’t necessarily the key. It is, however, vital that you share a similar vision to that of the current kitchen team. Sous Chef experience would definitely stand you in good stead, but the client has advised that they would be willing to give a chance to a Chef de Partie who feels they are ready to make the step up.
The successful candidate will be:
- Easygoing and approachable
- Hardworking and willing to chip in when necessary to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
- Confident in their ability to lead and motivate staff
- Able to work in tandem with the Head Chef and run the kitchen in the same manner in his absence
The aim for the rota is to work on average four and a half days a week meaning you have the flexibility to select days off that work best for you in order to ensure that you will always have the chance to pursue other hobbies and time to yourself.
