Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment are recruiting for an ambitious and talented Sous Chef to join our client’s soon-to-be opened Restaurant based in Corbridge. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head Chef and will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly in their absence, our client believes in offering an excellent ‘work-life balance’.

About the restaurant:

DUE TO OPEN SUMMER 2024. You can expect a relaxed all-day dining experience. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, grab a light lunch, or pop in for a tea and coffee. In the evenings, enjoy a relaxed brasserie-style menu – the kind of countryside cooking you love, with a great drinks selection. The restaurant is due to re-open Summer 2024 after a recent rennovation.

About the role:

  • 45 hour contract, 2 x days off per week.
  • £29k base salary and tips.

Responsibilities/duties:

  • Cook produce to meet expectations of the guests and the Head Chef
  • Follow all food safety & hygiene practises
  • Aid the Head Chef in selecting the best possible ingredients to best suit dishes for our customers
  • Bring ideas forward to aid in menu writing
  • Help train and coach lesser experience staff
  • Work quickly, neatly & Organised during your shift
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
  • Help keep the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness
