Live In Chefs
Live in Chefs required for four week assignment, Isle of Islay, Scotland
We require a number of live in chefs to cover holiday within an existing kitchen team at a busy hotel on the Isle of Islay, Scotland. You will be based at a luxury golf resort hotel, working in the restaurant which provides a contemporary, fresh seasonal menu in stunning surroundings. You will be working full time hours with on site accommodation and a travel allowance provided. This is an excellent opportunity during January, a time which is traditionally quiet in the hospitality trade. You must be experienced at minimum Chef de Partie level to be considered for this vacancy.
Duties:
- Providing cover for a specific chef during his/her annual leave
- Running a busy section of the kitchen to current hotel standards
- Undertaking all prep, service and cleaning down of the kitchen as expected
- Adhering to all health and safety rules – eg temperature checks, stock rotation, date labelling
- Producing top quality food in line with company specifications
Skills and attributes:
- You must be an accomplished chef with minimum 2 years experience at CDP level or above
- You must be able to adapt to new working environments quickly
- You must be able to work under pressure as part of a team to achieve excellent results
- You must be committed to complete a four week booking with an immediate start
