Hotel General Manager

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment are currently recruiting for a talented, hospitality and guest-focused Hotel General Manager to oversee a 4* luxury hotel nestled just south of Perthshire. 

This hotel offers warm fires, relaxed comfort, Highland hospitality and spectacular food. This hotel is perfect for a romantic break or golf holiday, guests enjoy exceptional food and fine wine, wonderful ambience and attentive service in the venue’s 1 AA Rosette Restaurant. We are looking to speak with candidates who bring a wealth of hospitality experience and are evidently passionate about their work. 

Skills: Hotel Management, 1 AA Rosette Experience, 4 or 5-star hotel management experience, Staff Training and Recruitment, Hospitality Excellence.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
  • Ensure the highest standards of service and hospitality excellence are maintained.
  • Manage and mentor staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance and budgeting to achieve profitability targets.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel management.
  • Prior experience in managing a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Proven track record of achieving and maintaining AA Rosette standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Highly developed organisational and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving competencies.
  • Proactive attitude and focus on delivering incredible guest experiences.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in various operational departments, ideally in guest relations & reception.
  • Experience in people management and coaching.
  • Proven experience in a similar establishment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Hotel Revenue Management
  • Additional language proficiency
  • Hospitality Management Qualification
  • Personal Licence

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Regular interaction with guests and staff.
  • Potential travel for training and conferences.
