Food Service Assistant – Newcastle
We are expanding our busy team of Food Service Assistants to cope with a boom in demand over the summer season. You would be working ongoing and ad hoc assignments for a diverse range of catering clients. We offer staffing support when sickness and absence in the workplace mean that our clients need a helping hand. We aim to supply our team with local work suited to their skill set around their existing commitments. Some choose to work full time hours while others work odd days to supplement their income.
Duties and responsibilities:
- washing dishes and pots
- replenishing stock
- making sandwiches and basic food items
- keeping the kitchen, serving and dining areas clean and tidy
- waste management
- serving food
- handling cash on the till
- keeping health and safety records
You will be:
- punctual, reliable and presentable
- experienced in a catering environment
- efficient and able to operate with a sense of urgency
- Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
- COSHH trained
- able to travel to and from work independantly
- DBS certificate desirable
- a good communicator who is able to work as part of a team
- comfortable working front and back of house
