Chef required at charming holiday park in sunny Southport.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a charming holiday park in the Victorian seaside resort of Southport, Merseyside. This location boasts many facilities alongside its luxury, self catering holiday homes. There is an onsite splash park, adventure park and adults only bar. As chef you will work as part a dedicated kitchen team in the large restaurant bar and grill, catering for families and couples alike. You will be responsible for producing fresh pub food to the highest standard in a busy environment. On site accommodation is available.

Chef duties and responsibilities include:

delivering fresh, high quality meals to order, in keeping with brand standards
working alone using your own initiative when necessary
delegating to kitchen assistants as needed
maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
keeping all health and safety records up to date
assisting with ordering and deliveries
food prep and closing down of kitchen
knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens

As a chef you must:

have at least two years experience working in a similar environment
have a working knowledge of dietary requirements and allergies
have a Food Hygiene certificate
have a working knowledge of COSHH and HACCAP
be able to communicate clearly both verbally and literally
be prepared to work in a challenging environment which can prove physically demanding
be willing to work various shift patterns
be a genuine team player
