Business and Industrial Chef needed for multiple sites across Newcastle

We have experienced a recent growth in demand for experienced chefs to work in the Business and Industrial sector in ad hoc and ongoing bookings. If you are familiar with working in this environment, are happy to work in multiple sites across Newcastle and prefer Monday- Friday shifts then read on….

Main duties and responsibilities of a Chef – Business and Industrial:

  • prepare large volumes of high quality, fresh food to tight deadlines
  • provide breakfast and lunch to a large workforce in a professional manner
  • organising stock and managing your individual workload throughout the day
  • cleaning down and following all food safety procedures
  • ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly
  • working with catering assistants as part of an effective team

To be considered you must be:

  • have minimum Food Safety Level 2
  • have minimum 2 years experience in a similar environment
  • be smart, presentable and reliable
  • be an efficient, methodical chef
  • have a strong work ethic
  • have a high level of professional integrity with an respectful attititude to others
  • be a good communicator with the ability to follow instruction to a high standard
  • have a strong working knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen control
  • have a strong working knowledge of HACCP and COSSH
