Adkins & Cheurfi are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Banqueting Chef to join our client’s kitchen brigade, the experience of working in volume banqueting is essential as the role will be focused on their strong Wedding and Events business.

This is a vital role and as our client’s Banqueting chef, you will play your part in creating inspirational menus and ensuring a smooth efficient banqueting kitchen operation.

Our client is a wonderful Hotel based on the edge of the North York Moors, the Hotel is a four-star country house ‘home away from home’ and is always a very busy venue, whether its business conferences, leisure, weddings or special occasions.

The Role:

  • Manage a section within the kitchen and ability to prep a menu
  • Good knowledge of HACCP and COSH
  • Good housekeeping
  • Preparation of dishes to the highest quality and standards
  • Comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
  • Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a safe and hygienic level

  • Experience of cooking for high numbers in fast-paced environments
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams
  • NVQ Level 1 (Minimum)
  • Basic food hygiene – A food hygiene certificate would be advantageous
