Able to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays is paramount. You will be asked on occasion to assist in all areas of our establishment, therefore flexibility and willingness is also required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and escort customers to their table
  • Take all orders via the iPad, making sure to take note of all dietary requirements
  • Pass customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation
  • Prepares drinks and serves them to customers
  • Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to customers
  • Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary
  • Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
  • Prepares bills and delivers them to customers
  • Processes cash and credit card payments correctly
  • Sets tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refills condiments
  • Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
  • Meets with managers and wait staff daily or regularly in order to learn about menu changes and specials as well as discuss upcoming reservations and customers with special needs

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

About the Inn

The Inn is a welcoming, quaint riverside pub, oozing with history. Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque Speyside village of Craigellachie, by the River Fiddich, the pub has attracted visitors from far and wide for many years. Built in 1842, very little has changed since.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, hard working Bar Manager who will be responsible for the day to day running of the Inn, as well as looking for ways to make it even better including – but not limited to :

carrying out bar shifts, supervision of premises and staff, stock ordering, and driving the premises forward to increase custom.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thinks ahead, observes the condition of the Inn and ensures the establishment works as smoothly as possible. Not only this, but someone who loves the thrill of giving great service to your guests and who loves the joy of making people happy with great hospitality!

Part of the role includes helping with the smooth running of the accompanying 2 bedroom cottage attached to the Inn. Making sure that guests are welcomed and deal with any requests guests may have during their stay.

Key responsibilities include:

● Handling day-to-day operations, managing resources, and employees, and creating a safe, fun environment for staff and patrons.

● You will also manage inventory, maintain stock levels and resources, plan promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses and update vendor contracts, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits, whilst delivering first class customer experience.

● Ensure all health, safety and hygiene regulations are applied in relevant areas and adhered to

● Working closely with the existing Assistant Manager on stock checks

● To present a positive image of the Inn by being polite, friendly and helpful to all visitors.

● Being present on site a minimum of 4 days per weeks, spending a minimum of 25 hours behind the bar

Front of House Event Supervisor

About the role:

As a Front of House Supervisor, you will act as an extension of the office management team, overseeing busy event staff check-ins to ensure that staff arrive at site on time, uniform standards are adhered to and staff are organised and ready to work. You will also be expected to work at our events in a supervisory role to assist with any issues that may arise on site and feedback to our Front of House Recruitment Consultant.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in Bar or Hospitality management / supervisory experience and will have a passion for all things hospitality & events. You will be organised, timely and confident when dealing large groups of people. You will be friendly, approachable, proactive and remain calm under pressure. You will also need to hold a UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle. You will need to be available to work weekends when applicable.
